I cannot say that I have never met you as I am not sure. I recorded at Gold Star in August of 1962. The song was called Humpty Dumpty Heart and although not recognized as a certified 'Hit" is has endured these 55 years and has become somewhat of an underground classic. I had a wonderful phone conversation with Stan Ross in 2009 about the song and he claimed engineering that session. I'm not sure, I think you may have been involved. Regardless, that short trip to Gold Star has enriched my entire adult life. Thank you Larry.

I never met Larry, but I've been doing lots of reading lately about him and his work with Phil Spector in particular. My father-in-law, Alex North, co-wrote Unchained Melody, and I've been trying to learn more about all of the early recordings of the song. I so wished I had had the opportunity to meet Larry and ask him a billion questions about his techniques. My birthday is May 8 -- i was touched by the fact that I share that with Larry.
I am so sorry for your loss, but what a tremendous legacy Larry has left!
